  • While there is a wide variety of meanings to the term classical education, most use it to refer to education founded on the traditional liberal arts (grammar, logic, rhetoric, arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music). This is an educational tradition that goes back thousands of years. We believe in the passing on of this cultural inheritance - the ideas, the accomplishments, and the artistic contributions of Western civilization.

  • The word liberal here is being used in a very different way than our mainstream culture uses it. Liberal means “free”, so a liberal arts education is one that frees the student to know what is true, to choose what is good, and to love what is beautiful.

  • Simply, no.

Our curriculum will include religious content for the purpose of making sure our students are knowledgeable, particularly that they can understand references in classical texts. To that end, they will learn about the world religions that have shaped our culture today.
